The Sky in Madrid Is Excellent

Spending time outside in Madrid has been a mixed bag of either pain and agony, or joy and amazement. As we enter into a week that will be getting up to about 100 degrees, I'm not super happy with the prospect of being outside.

However, one of Jess and my first observations (after "WHY AM I ALWAYS SWEATING??") is that the sky in Madrid is amazing. It has a certain shade of blue that is really striking. Also, this may sound banal, but Madrid has some of the best clouds I've ever seen. I'm still figuring out how to use my camera, so I'm not doing the clouds justice, but the Madrid sky has been an unexpected delight

Here's a shot of those same clouds hanging listlessly above the Palacio during a wonderful sunset:

And a selfie for the road:

  1. Yes, so much sweating! But, think of all the weight you'll lose! :) Beautiful photos!

    1. Thanks Amber! We do feel mildly more healthy, but in the moment -- at the time of the sweating -- it's not the nicest thing in the world. Luckily we are now down to an absolutely frigid 85-88 degrees!
